Bilbies are burrowing marsupials found in Australia, and currently considered an endangered species.

At around 3 months old, young bilbies are weaned off and must learn to fend for themselves. Only 25% of them make it to adulthood. This is meant to represent that moment from the perspective of the young bilbies.
